The Upper Lars Checkpoint Will Not Operate Tonight

The Upper Lars checkpoint will not operate tonight starting at 01:00 AM. This information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by Vahan Hakobyan, the customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in Russia.

“Technical upgrades are scheduled to be carried out on the Georgian side of the Russian-Georgian border checkpoint tonight, which means that the Georgian checkpoint will not function from 01:00 AM until 10:00 AM,” he said. Hakobyan noted that once the upgrade work is completed, the operations of the checkpoint will be restored.
