Search Operations Halted: Reason Revealed
Rescue teams have suspended search operations for a citizen who fell into the Aghstev River in the Tavush region due to darkness. This information was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Previously, we reported that rescuers had recovered the drowned body of a young man (H. E., born in 1990) from the river. The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that at 15:14, the National Crisis Management Center received information that two citizens had entered the river to swim and had gone missing.
A team from the Tavush special firefighting and rescue unit, as well as an operational group from the regional rescue department, was dispatched to the scene, along with two teams from the firefighting and rescue unit and one from the special water rescue unit.
A total of 36 rescue service personnel (including 5 lifeguards) were involved in the search and rescue operations. However, due to darkness, the operations have been temporarily suspended. Rescuers have established duty at two locations.
