Body of Drowned Citizen Discovered

On August 5th, at 3:14 PM, the Crisis Management National Center received information that two citizens had entered the river to swim and had gone out of sight in the village of Azatamut, Tavush Province.

A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Civil Protection Department, as well as an operational group from the regional rescue department, deployed to the scene. Two units from the firefighting squad and one unit from the special water rescue team were involved.

Rescuers and water rescue personnel discovered and brought ashore the body of H.E. (born in 1990) from the Agstef River. A total of 36 rescue service members were engaged in the search and rescue operation, including 5 water rescuers.

Search and rescue efforts were temporarily suspended due to darkness. Rescuers established monitoring in two locations.
