The West is Trying to Turn Armenian Society Against Russia: Russian Foreign Ministry

The West is attempting to turn Armenian society against Russia through increased influence of media resources. This was stated by Andrey Nastasin, Deputy Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing.

“The rise of Western influence over media resources in Armenia, like any other country, can lead to nothing good. The Americans and EU representatives are acting on a situational basis, aiming to turn public opinion against Russia everywhere. They also wish to diminish the significance of the long-standing Russian-Armenian friendship and the support that Moscow has provided and continues to provide to brotherly Armenia in various sectors,” said Nastasin.

According to him, Moscow and Yerevan have established regulated mechanisms for cooperation in the field of communications.
