Russia Responds to Accusations from the U.S.

Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, has commented on statements from American national intelligence regarding claims that Russia, China, and Iran are attempting to influence the results of the U.S. presidential elections. According to him, Moscow categorically denies such accusations.

Peskov emphasized that the allegations from the U.S. regarding attempts to affect elections are absurd. He pointed out that both Republicans and Democrats exploit the factors of Russia and Vladimir Putin during political contests, but the press secretary added that Moscow is accustomed to this.

He stated that the authors of such accusations are inclined to seek out enemies. “There is no better enemy to imagine for Americans than Russia,” Peskov said.

He also reminded that after the previous elections in the U.S., tens of millions of dollars were spent on law enforcement and the creation of groups within special services to monitor the situation related to alleged Russian interference.
