Fire Breaks Out in the Yard of a Medical Center in Yerevan; Patients and Staff Evacuated

On July 29, at 20:07, the Emergency Management National Center received a report of a fire breaking out in the yard of one of Yerevan's medical centers. Two fire-rescue teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.

Before the rescuers arrived, the center's staff managed to evacuate 67 patients. The rescuers cut off the electricity to the building and evacuated 15 more patients; fortunately, there were no injuries.

The fire was contained by 20:35 and extinguished by 20:51. Household items accumulated in the yard burned, and the window frames on the first and second floors were partially thermally damaged.
