Erdogan: The Only Country Seeking Its Security Through Aggression and Foreign Land Seizure
The lawless state of Israel poses a danger not only to Palestine and Lebanon but to all humanity, stated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during a speech at an event for the ruling Justice and Development Party.
President Erdogan emphasized that Tel Aviv's actions create risks for all countries in the region. He remarked, "How many more thousands of children must fall victim before the world realizes that Israel's aggressive policies threaten the entire region? Israel is the only country in the region that seeks to ensure its security through aggression, massacre, and seizure of foreign lands."
The head of state reiterated that Western countries ignore the crimes of the Israeli army against peaceful Palestinians. "Western leaders and organizations, whose responsibility it is to ensure international security, have been passively watching the atrocities carried out in Gaza over nearly 300 days," the politician stated.
President Erdogan labeled Israel as a country acting as a terrorist organization. He called on the global community to work together to immediately halt the "genocide, cruelty, and barbarism" being conducted by Israel in Gaza, "before it is too late."
Additionally, President Erdogan strongly criticized the offense to religious sentiments during the opening of the Summer Olympics in Paris. He stated, "The immorality organized during the opening of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris further demonstrated the extent of the threat we face. The disgraceful scene in Paris has insulted us as it would the Catholic and Christian worlds."
He announced his intention to discuss the "immorality against the Christian world" with Pope Francis during a phone call. President Erdogan accused the organizers of the Paris Olympics of using the games as a tool to "corrupt human nature" and destroy family values.
In his address, Erdogan also underscored that Turkey will "not take a step back" in defending its interests in the Aegean and Mediterranean seas.
