VIDEO: Suspect in Moscow Car Explosion Transferred from Turkey to Russia
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has released operational video footage of the transfer of Evgeny Serebryakov, the suspect in a car explosion in Moscow, from Turkey to Russia. The footage shows how a Turkish Airlines plane lands, after which FSB officials escort Serebryakov off the plane, place him in a minibus, and transport him away.
Suspect Evgeny Serebryakov has reported that he met with a coordinator from the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) in Istanbul. "I started communicating with someone named Ilya, who I suppose is an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine. We communicated via Wire (a messenger presented as a secure communication tool), and there was also one meeting in Istanbul," Serebryakov stated.
On the morning of July 24, two individuals were injured in the yard of a building on Sinyavinskaya Street in northern Moscow due to a car explosion. According to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, an unknown object that was placed in the car detonated. The case has been transferred to the First Investigation Department of the Main Investigative Directorate of Moscow for particularly important cases.
The Zamoskvoretsky Court announced that Evgeny Serebryakov has been charged in absentia in connection with the car explosion in Moscow. On the same day, Serebryakov was arrested in Bodrum, Turkey.
