VIDEO: The Issue of Waste Collection Addressed at Yerevan City Hall

In Yerevan, 50 trucks are actively working for waste collection, as reported by Sasha Katvalyan, head of the "Yerevan Waste Collection and Sanitation" company. He stated that some trucks are undergoing repairs and will soon be back in operation. "We are able to deploy 37-38 garbage trucks at night and 40 during the day, due to a driver shortage," he said.

According to Katvalyan, six additional garbage trucks are expected to be imported in August. "Currently, work is being carried out to install new systems in the garbage trucks, after which we will be able to see which bins are emptied during each shift, making the waste collection process more manageable," he explained.

Mayor Tigran Avinyan was informed that the digitization of the waste bins will be completed soon, and GPS data will also be displayed on the map. Katvalyan assured that there will no longer be issues related to waste collection.
