Video: New Details on Nighttime Enhanced Operations by Police

On July 15, from 8 PM to 11 PM, the police conducted enhanced operations in the capital. Involved were personnel from the Criminal Police and the Main Department of Public Safety, the Police Forces, Special Purpose Battalion, Patrol Service, the Yerevan City Division and its subordinate units. A total of 300 police officers were engaged, forming 10 mobile units, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs in response to a query from Auroranews.

During the enhanced operation, 520 vehicles were checked, and 54 individuals were taken to divisions under the Yerevan City Division for various violations and clarifications. Sixteen instances of drug detection were noted, along with the seizure of nine cold weapons and two gas pistols. Additionally, two air guns, one hunting rifle, one starter pistol, four batons, and an axe were found.

Three individuals were also discovered to be in possession of counterfeit driver's licenses. Enhanced services are organized periodically.
