Former Mayor of Gyumri Summoned by Prosecutor's Office

The former mayor of Gyumri, Vardan Ghukasian, along with his wife and children, has been summoned by the Department for the Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets.

Invitations have been sent to Manya Vardan Ghukasian, Spartak Vardan Ghukasian (the former mayor's son), Nona Seryozha Ghukasyan (the former mayor's wife), and Vardan Ghukasyan himself.

According to the notification, "Guided by Articles 16 and 17 of the Law on the Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets, I inform you that an investigation has been conducted at the Department for the Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets of the RA Prosecutor General's Office regarding the property belonging to you, and a summary has been prepared. You have the right to appear at the Department for the Confiscation of Illegally Acquired Assets of the RA Prosecutor General's Office (address: 50 Tigran Mets Avenue, Yerevan) within one month from the receipt of this notification to familiarize yourself with the case materials, present your position, and submit a declaration," reads the notice.
