Incidents Occurred Between Armenian and Azerbaijani Border Guards in Kiran
According to information from "Hraparak", two incidents have occurred between Azerbaijani and Armenian border guards near Kiran, on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The incidents were reported near a newly constructed road.
"After the border demarcation, the bridge leading to Kiran, which is part of the inter-state road, was handed over to the Azerbaijani side, and the construction of a new alternative road began. It turns out that the Azerbaijanis are occasionally provoking incidents in this area, justifying that the road is being built with border violations," the report states.
Garniq Danielyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction, confirmed our information: "I learned from the residents of Kiran that an incident occurred recently on the new road leading to Kiran. Azerbaijani border guards came and had a dispute with Armenian border guards, claiming that a section of the newly constructed road crosses onto Azerbaijani territory. Residents of Kiran witnessed yesterday and the day before how Azerbaijanis were harvesting their sown wheat. For many, this is their only means of livelihood," the deputy said.
