Experts believe that around ten leopards live in Armenia. The Caucasian leopard named Neo has appeared in the footage captured in the Khosrov Reserve. A video has been posted on the reserve's social media pages.

The Caucasian leopard is included in Armenia's Red Book and is classified as "critical" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The post mentions, "The leopard symbolizes wisdom and strength in Armenia, depicted in ancient sculptures and paintings."

It is noteworthy that in 2018, WWF cameras first captured the male leopard Neo in the Khosrov Forest Reserve. For a long time, it was assumed that he was alone, but in January 2021, the cameras recorded a female leopard, which was named Nova.
