The Wedding of Asia's Richest Man's Son Will Cost $320 Million: Who Are the Notable Guests?

The wedding of Anant Ambani, the son of Asia's richest man Mukesh Ambani, and Radhika Merchant is set to cost $320 million. Taking place on July 12, it promises to be one of the most famous weddings in the world. This extravaganza of wealth will attract global tech leaders, industry titans, Bollywood stars, pop icons, and high-ranking political figures.

Among the guests will be Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kim and Khloé Kardashian, David and Victoria Beckham, former UK Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Tony Blair, Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, IOC Vice President Juan Antonio Samaranch, WHO Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, former Swedish Prime Minister Carl Bildt, former Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and many other distinguished guests from across the globe.

Details of the wedding are being kept secret, but a source told MailOnline, “This is an unbelievable sum, and no expense has been spared. This is a wedding unlike any other. It will be as big as you can imagine and one of the best of the best. Everything has been meticulously planned, and some of the most influential people in the world will be in attendance. The Ambanis have gone to great lengths to showcase their wealth in all its glory.”

The wedding ceremony will take place in accordance with traditional Hindu rituals at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, a cultural and business venue that can accommodate 16,000 guests and has been constructed by the Ambani family. The following day, a traditional “Divine Blessing Ceremony,” known as “Shubh Aashirwad,” will be held at the same location, followed by an extravagant reception on Sunday.

Approximately 100 chefs will prepare a wide range of Indian and European delicacies for the guests. Invitations were sent out last month in a decorated red box that included a silver temple model, gifts, and hand-crafted pashmina shawls. It is estimated that each invitation cost around $9,000.

The wedding outfits for the bride, groom, and their families have been designed by one of India’s leading designers, Manish Malhotra, who is also the creative director of the wedding, costing over $12,000 each.

Performances by Lana Del Rey, Drake, and Adele are expected during the wedding celebrations. The Ambani family has ordered three Falcon 2000 jets and approximately 100 aircraft to transport their visiting dignitaries from around the world.

Luxurious accommodations will be provided for all VIP guests. Guests at the pre-wedding event in Jamnagar were gifted lavish items, including Louis Vuitton bags, Bombay Artisan Co. bags, Bandhani and Paithani shawls, golden chains, and more.
