Musk Announces Launch of Humanoid Robot Production in 2025
American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk has announced that his electric vehicle company, Tesla, will begin the production of humanoid robots for "internal use" in 2025.
Musk made his announcement in response to a post on X, regarding researcher Daniel Kokotailo's predictions about the future development of artificial intelligence and the widespread implementation of "robots with human-like physical capabilities."
"Tesla will truly have useful humanoid robots in limited production for internal use (within the company) next year, and hopefully in 2026 for mass production for other companies," said the American billionaire.
Tesla Motors, which Musk leads, was founded in 2003 as a developer and manufacturer of electric vehicles and associated technologies. Besides electric cars, the company also produces batteries and electric motors using its own technology, selling to other automakers, including Toyota and Daimler. In 2021, the company's headquarters was moved from Palo Alto to Austin, Texas.
