Foreign National Storms Kotayk Police Station with Weapon, Gunfire Erupts: Multiple Injuries Reported

Gunshots were heard today, July 20, in the Kotayk region. According to shamshyan.com, around 01:10 AM, an ambulance transported a man aged between 45 and 50 to the Heratsi University Hospital.

Reports from a photo journalist indicate that the man sustained a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest. The individual, armed with an automatic weapon, allegedly entered the Kotayk police station and opened fire at police officers, resulting in another police officer being wounded and also hospitalized at the Heratsi University Hospital.

The Kotayk regional investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case concerning the incident. Sources indicate that the man who stormed the police station and fired shots is a foreign national.
