Unknown Individuals Defile 12th-13th Century Monument

The staff of the Conservation Service's Regional Office for Historical Environment Preservation in the Lori Province recorded during a visit to the belfry and mausoleum of the Kobair Monastic Complex that an unknown individual or individuals have left inscriptions in red paint on the walls of the medieval structure.

The belfry-mausoleum of the Kobair Monastic Complex was built in the 12th-13th centuries. Following the recorded violation, the Conservation Service's agency has contacted the police to provide a legal assessment of the incident.
