VIDEO: Arrests in Yerevan, Weapons and Drugs Discovered

The Criminal Investigative Department of the Police of Yerevan, acting on received operative information and in cooperation with the National Security Service officers, conducted operational and investigative measures on July 11 at 19:30. They discovered and arrested two men, aged 35 and 31, who were wanted for attempted murder since April 26 and for attempted murder and illegal possession of firearms, respectively.

The suspects were transferred to the Shengavit police station. Six other individuals who were with them were also arrested and taken to the Arabkir police station.

A personal search revealed a loaded Makarov-type pistol with 7 cartridges in the possession of the 35-year-old man, a folding knife on the 45-year-old man, and marijuana on a 30-year-old individual. The suspects and the documents prepared have been submitted to the investigative department. The circumstances are being clarified.
