Foreign National Armed with Gun Storms Kotayk Police Station, Opens Fire Leaving Injured
On July 20, gunfire erupted in the Kotayk province. According to reports from shamshyan.com, at approximately 01:10 AM, an ambulance transported a man aged between 45 and 50 to the Heratsi University Hospital No. 1.
As reported by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the man sustained a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest. Sources indicate that the individual armed with a firearm entered the Kotayk police station and opened fire at the police officers, resulting in one police officer also being injured and requiring transport to Heratsi University Hospital No. 1.
In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated by the Kotayk Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee.
According to G. Shamshyan’s reports, the man who stormed the police station and fired shots is a foreign national.
