Will Authorities Start Courting Russia? 'Fact'
During the 'debate' of the US presidential elections, former President and presidential candidate Donald Trump stated that if elected, he would 'calm the situation' regarding the Russia-Ukraine war without even entering the Oval Office. He pointed out that 'this war should never have started' and accused President Biden of pouring unprecedented massive sums into Ukraine, around $200 billion. 'We should not be spending such amounts,' Trump said, adding that as a result, people are dying 'needlessly and uselessly.' This was reported by the newspaper 'Fact'.
'Trump also promised to reconcile Zelensky and Putin and resolve this issue. This, of course, is an important statement, especially considering that events during the entire electoral campaign indicate that Trump has a very high probability of winning. The latest episode is the assassination attempt against him, which has various interpretations, but many agree that it has increased his chances of victory. What would happen in such a case? It is clear that first and foremost, Russia would restore its geopolitical hegemony, which, according to experts, Trump is also not opposed to, primarily as a business-minded individual with business interests.
Subsequently, Russia would, of course, pay more serious attention to the South Caucasus. This is understood by the Armenian authorities as well, and this is why, according to our information, a certain 'courting' has already begun to be displayed towards the Russians. Moreover, our sources report that by the beginning of autumn, pronounced gestures of pro-Russian sentiment might manifest. The point is that, according to our information, after freeing its hands from the Ukrainian war, Russia might support early parliamentary elections in Armenia. Furthermore, according to discussions in the corridors of power, this may be arranged with the West, and the new parliament would consist of 70% pro-Russian and national forces, while 30% would be pro-Western,' the newspaper reports.
