Zhanna Andreasyan Addresses Rumors on Reduction of Class Hours for Armenian History
There are no plans to reduce the class hours for the subject of Armenian History. This was announced today at a press conference by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, in response to questions regarding possible changes.
"There is no plan to reduce the hours. I understand that such conversations are endless, and we will not tire of stating that such a thing does not exist," the minister declared.
According to her, the ministry is placing special emphasis on the development of knowledge and skills, as well as the revision of subject curricula and standards in schools.
Regarding the subject textbooks for the 8th and 10th grades, the minister emphasized that the results of the competitions will be announced soon. If the outcomes are successful, new textbooks will be published by September.
She also reminded that in 2023, the 7th-grade textbook for Armenian History was developed based on the state's new standards.
