Video: Fire at Shopping Center in China Leaves Casualties

At least six people have lost their lives in a major fire at a shopping center in Zigong City, Sichuan Province, China. The blaze broke out in the center and spread across four floors.

The fire started on July 17, shortly after 6:00 PM local time. Footage from the scene circulating on social media shows the lower floors of the building engulfed in flames, with thick plumes of black smoke rising from the structure.

Approximately 90 firefighters are on-site. According to China Daily, the fire was extinguished by 8:20 PM. Seventeen individuals were rescued from the building, while search operations for others are ongoing.

Details regarding the causes of the fire have yet to be announced, and there is no information available on additional casualties or injuries.
