VIDEO. The Area of Devastating Fire in Krasnodar Krai Has Reached 32 Hectares

In Krasnodar, the area of burning trees and grass has reached 28 hectares, according to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Specialists are combating the fire in hard-to-reach areas with the help of fire extinguishers.

More than 200 specialists and 48 units of equipment are working on the site. A helicopter is also assisting; nearly 30 tons of water have been used in the burning forest. An emergency situation has been declared in Novorossiysk due to the fire.

The rapid spread of the blaze has affected a recreation center. Earlier, on July 14, information had been released about a major forest fire in Kuban, which spread into the territory of a recreation center, necessitating the evacuation of people. Aviation is involved in the firefighting process. Later, it was reported that the fire that broke out in the area of the Dursu village recreation center has been completely extinguished, but the forest continues to burn.
