Lukashenko Changes Deputy Defense Minister
The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, has appointed Major General Alexander Naumenko as Deputy Minister of Defense. This information was reported by the president’s press service, according to TASS.
Major General Andrei Zhuk was relieved of his duties as he was moved to the reserve due to age. Up until now, Naumenko was serving as the commander of the Northwestern Operational Command of the Armed Forces.
He has now been replaced by Major General Alexander Bas, who was previously dismissed from his position as the head of the Main Directorate for Combat Training of the Belarusian Armed Forces.
