Pashinyan Reinvites Macron to Armenia

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has sent a congratulatory message to French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of the National Day.

In his message, he stated: “Honorable Mr. President, dear Emmanuel, on behalf of the Armenian people and personally, I warmly congratulate you and the fraternal people of France on the occasion of your National Day, July 14. 235 years ago, this day was recorded in world history not only as the just struggle of the French people for the supremacy of the values of freedom, equality, and fraternity but also as a day of victory for universal values, human rights, and democracy.”

“Inspired by these high values of universal significance, many Armenian survivors of the genocide sought refuge in France, contributing creatively, actively, and even dedicating their lives to France, its freedom, and the values it embodies,” Pashinyan added.

“In this context, I would like to express my gratitude for honoring descendants of Armenians at the highest state level in France, including Misak Manushyan, a hero of the Resistance movement, whose remains were transferred to the Panthéon this February by your decision.”

“We highly appreciate the special relations between our two countries, which are based on sincere friendship forged through centuries of trials, as well as solid civilizational and value foundations. The nature and content of these relations are evidenced by high-level political dialogue and dynamically developing cooperation in all areas, allowing us to outline the pathways for the development of strategic cooperation between our states.”

“I express particular gratitude for standing by the Armenian people in overcoming the challenges faced by Armenia, and for your decisive commitment and direct involvement in the continuous efforts to achieve lasting peace and stability in our region.”

“Taking this opportunity, I reaffirm my invitation to host you in Armenia this September for a state visit.”

“Once again, extending my congratulations and best wishes for peace, development, and prosperity on this festive day that symbolizes France's unity and heroic history, I ask you to accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my highest respect.”

Fraternally, Nikol Pashinyan.
