Nikol Pashinyan to Attend Spain-England Final Match with Daughter and Wife
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced on his Facebook page that he will be attending the UEFA European Championship final match between Spain and England, following an invitation from UEFA President Alexander Ceferin. He also shared a photo from their meeting.
The government reported that the two discussed matters related to the development of football in Armenia. Pashinyan emphasized the government's commitment to promoting football and overall healthy living in the country, stating that efforts are underway in collaboration with the Football Federation of Armenia to improve infrastructure.
The Prime Minister reminded that the football federations of Armenia and Georgia have decided to apply to FIFA with the aim of jointly hosting the Youth World Championship in 2029. He expressed hope that the joint application will be successful and added that support from UEFA is also anticipated in this matter.
Ceferin noted that UEFA is closely cooperating with the Football Federation of Armenia to benefit the development and progress of football in the country. He expressed confidence that the government's infrastructure improvement efforts will provide a new impetus for the sport's advancement in Armenia. Ceferin also confirmed that UEFA officially supports the joint bid by Armenia and Georgia to host the Youth World Championship.
The two exchanged thoughts on the ongoing UEFA European Championship in Germany. It is worth mentioning that earlier, Pashinyan posted a video on his TikTok page, showing him departing somewhere on a non-governmental aircraft, accompanied by his wife and daughter.
