Number of Drivers Benefiting from 50% Reduced Fine Payment Revealed

The quarterly period for the bonus component of a 50% reduction in fines for traffic violations ended on July 8.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, 109,009 citizens have taken advantage of the option to pay 50% less for obligations that are not in the enforcement phase. A total of 1 billion 320 million 920 thousand 870 dram has been deposited into the state budget from 310,794 fine decisions.

Regarding obligations in the enforcement phase, as a result of the bonus component, 871 million 553 thousand 540 dram has been recovered from 213,188 shortened enforcement proceedings. Citizens continue to actively utilize the 20% and 30% bonus system components introduced by the legislative reforms of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Already, 129,065 citizens have settled their obligations with 207,810 fine decisions by benefiting from the 30% bonus component, resulting in 1 billion 206 million 295 thousand 487 dram being deposited into the state budget. Additionally, through the activation of electronic notification in the Roadpolice.am system, 41,069 citizens are utilizing the 20% reduction option.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to continue using digital solutions to benefit from the 20% fine reduction.
