Five Injured in Vehicle Accident Involving Discharged Soldiers

On July 11, around 11 AM, a civil vehicle of the brand "Mitsubishi Grandis" was involved in an accident on the Yerevan-Meghri highway, near the village of Gorayk, at the 175 km mark. As a result of the accident, two individuals died on the spot, and five others were transported to medical facilities with varying degrees of bodily injuries. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.

According to preliminary data, the discharged soldiers were traveling in a taxi towards Yerevan. Among the deceased, one was the driver and the other was a passenger. Of those admitted to medical facilities, the condition of two individuals is serious, two are in moderate condition, and one is satisfactory.

In connection with the incident, the investigative department of the Syunik Regional Investigative Division of the RA Investigative Committee has initiated a criminal case under Part 3 of Article 342 of the RA Criminal Code. Investigators are on-site conducting necessary and urgent investigative actions. More information will be released later.
