China Imposes Sanctions Against the USA: Reasons Revealed

China has imposed new sanctions against several American defense companies and their executives due to their arms supply to the Taiwan island administration. This was announced in a statement published on the website of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

"Recently, the United States again announced arms sales to Taiwan, which seriously violates the 'One China' principle and the three joint communiqués between China and the United States. It constitutes a serious interference in China’s internal affairs and has a substantial detrimental effect on its sovereignty and territorial integrity," the statement read. "In accordance with Articles 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, and 15 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Counteracting Foreign Sanctions, China has decided to take countermeasures against the following American defense enterprises and their senior leadership," it added.

Sanctions will be applied to Anduril Corporation, Maritime Tactical Systems Corporation, Pacific Rim Defense Corporation, AEVEX Aerospace Corporation, LKD Aerospace Corporation, and Summit Technology Corporation. Their assets and properties in China will be frozen. Additionally, 11 executives from these companies have also been included on the blacklist. They will be prohibited from entering China, including Hong Kong and Macau.
