Zakharova Comments on Ambassador Changes in Moscow and Yerevan
Moscow is satisfied with the work of Vagharshak Harutyunyan, the current Armenian ambassador to Russia. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press briefing.
“His performance as head of the diplomatic mission fully corresponds to the goal of strengthening bilateral relations,” she noted.
Regarding the appointment of the Armenian ambassador in Russia, Zakharova mentioned that information would be provided accordingly. “There are procedures that need to be implemented without public discussion. In the end, we will certainly share the relevant results,” she added.
As for the Russian ambassador in Yerevan, Sergey Kopirkin continues his work. “The efficiency and effectiveness of his work are beyond doubt,” she emphasized. According to her, this can be judged by the number of events and the agenda on which the Russian foreign entity operates.
It is noteworthy that according to some reports, Gurgen Arsenyan, a member of the ruling Civil Contract party, may be appointed as the ambassador of Armenia in Moscow.
