All Armenian Territories Will Be Returned to Armenia, Azerbaijani Ones to Azerbaijan: Arshakyan
The opening of borders is in the interests of both countries and peoples, and I hope that it will happen soon.
This was stated by the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Hakob Arshakyan, during a conversation with journalists. According to him, speaking the language of force with Armenia is not a good idea, and in general, when it comes to peace, peace cannot be forced. If there is an imbalance, it cannot lead to long-term peace.
In response to a question regarding the demarcation process conducted in the Kiran region, where land was given, and what Azerbaijan returned, the Vice Speaker emphasized that the entire essence of the demarcation process is that territories belonging to Armenia be returned to Armenia and those belonging to Azerbaijan return to Azerbaijan.
He mentioned that at this stage, he does not wish to comment further, as he does not believe it would contribute to the complete delimitation and demarcation process.
“We are currently in a process that has a beginning and an end. We have already passed three percent of the beginning, and you want to represent that three percent in its entirety. You cannot present it as such because the process must be represented as a hundred percent. I assure you that if implemented one hundred percent, all Armenian territories will be returned to Armenia, and all Azerbaijani territories will be returned to Azerbaijan,” he emphasized.
