Vardavar Becomes a 'Nightmare' for Some Drivers

Vardavar has turned into a 'nightmare' for some drivers. This was reported by the daily newspaper 'Hraparak'. The information was provided to the newspaper by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On July 7, the officers of the traffic police of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs conducted intensified service across the entire territory of the republic and 'identified' 3,300 violations. Among them, 125 individuals were found to be driving under the influence, 140 individuals were driving with tinted windows, 255 exceeded speed limits, 813 drivers were not wearing seat belts, 65 were fined for smoking while driving, and 64 for using mobile phones while driving. There were also other violations. A total of 79 vehicles were moved to the impound lot.

It is worth noting that on Sunday, Armenians celebrated one of the five major feasts of the Armenian Apostolic Church: the Feast of the Transfiguration of Christ, or Vardavar.
