Zelensky Identifies Countries That Could Mediate Between Moscow and Kyiv
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that only the United States, the European Union, and China can play the role of mediators in resolving the conflict between Moscow and Kyiv. His comments were quoted by TASS.
As emphasized by the Ukrainian leader, only serious and strong allies can become mediators, and there are few such countries in the world. “I believe that the U.S. is one of those countries, as well as China and the European Union. Not just one particular country, but the entire European Union. This could represent such a mediation mission,” Zelensky stated.
Previously, during a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Zelensky declared that Kyiv rejects an offer for a ceasefire to start negotiations with Russia regarding conflict resolution.
Zelensky also stated that the cessation of military operations in Ukraine is only possible if a clear plan is established for the future of the country. The President stressed that such an agreement could mainly be reached on an international platform and in the presence of leaders of countries that are trusted.
