American Female Assassin Wanted in the UK Found in Armenia

A 44-year-old woman named Amy Betrón, who was wanted by law enforcement in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, has been arrested in Armenia as a hired assassin, according to the BBC.

She is being sought in connection with an attempted shooting of a businessman in Birmingham's South Yardley area in September 2019.

Earlier, the Armenian Police announced that a citizen sought by UK authorities was discovered in the village of Proshyan, facing charges of conspiracy to commit murder and illegal possession of firearms.

She has been ordered to be detained as a preventive measure.
