Training Assemblies for Reservists to Be Held: Dates Announced
From August 1 to October 25, 2024, training assemblies for reservists are scheduled to take place. The Armenian government will present a draft decision on "Declaring Training Assemblies and Engaging Transport Vehicles of Bodies Responsible for Military Transport Obligations” at today's session.
According to the justification of the draft, transport vehicles will be engaged from bodies with military transport obligations, outlining the purposes of the training assemblies, the compositions and numbers of involved reservists, timelines for involvement, as well as types and quantities of transport vehicles required.
Accordingly, training assemblies are announced for personnel registered in the first and second categories of the reserve forces, including private, sergeant, and officer ranks. The training assemblies are aimed at enhancing the military capabilities of reservists, professional retraining and preparation, and training reserve officers from the subordinate ranks with higher education, as well as involving them in combat duty.
Each citizen will be engaged for no more than 25 calendar days during the declared training assemblies. The organization of training assemblies is planned under the Armenian government's respective decision of 2023, with the objective of having better-prepared reservists and improving the quality of professional preparedness of reservists through their involvement in these assemblies, including readiness for combat duty.
Moreover, for ensuring the training assemblies, including undertaking engineering works at the established front lines, it has become necessary to engage transport vehicles of suitable types and quantities from the bodies responsible for military transport obligations.
