Head of Arabkir Administrative District Under House Arrest
The Anti-Corruption Court has decided against the pre-trial detention of Aram Azatyan, the head of the Arabkir administrative district, in response to a request from the investigative body. "The Anti-Corruption Court (Judge Surik Khachatryan) rejected the request for detention of my client in the case involving the Arabkir municipality without selecting any alternative measure," his attorney Alexander Kochubaev stated.
It is recalled that yesterday the Investigative Committee reported that within the framework of a criminal case being investigated by the Main Investigation Department regarding crimes against the state, constitutional order, and public safety, necessary and urgent investigative actions are being carried out in the Arabkir administrative district office with the assistance of employees from the National Security Service's Yerevan City Administration. There are individuals who have been detained.
Radar Armenia learned from the Anti-Corruption Court that they opted for house arrest as a preventive measure for Aram Azatyan, and a bail of 30 million drams has been set.
