Child Dies Due to Riverbank Collapse in Omsk Region, Russia
A criminal case has been initiated following the death of a 12-year-old boy in the Omsk region, who was buried under a sandbank. This has been reported by RIA Novosti, citing the press service of the Southern Military District of Russia.
The tragic incident occurred on the evening of July 3, at the bank of the Irtysh River. “A 12-year-old boy who was walking with a peer died as a result of the sandbank collapse. The child passed away before the ambulance arrived. The second boy sustained minor injuries, managed to get out on his own, and called for help,” the agency reported.
