Explosives, Grenades, and Bullets: Case of Voluntary Surrender of Weapons and Ammunition in Armavir

On June 21, a case of voluntary surrender of weapons and ammunition occurred in the Armavir region, thanks to explanatory work conducted by the officers from the Baghramyan division of the Armenian Police Ministry and the patrol service of the Armavir regional battalion. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.

At approximately 11:10 AM, the Armavir operational management center of the Armenian Police received a call from an unknown citizen who stated that he was a participant in the 44-day war and had brought weapons and ammunition, which he left near a non-operational stone quarry in the area of Shenik village.

According to the site, police and patrol officers found three polyethylene bags in the corner of a wagon-house located at the non-operational stone quarry at the beginning of Shenik village, with two bags visibly containing a firearm barrel.

Sources inform that the officers, investigators, and patrol members discovered the following in the bags: 1 piece of AK-74 type, 1986 production, 5.45mm caliber firearm; 1 piece of AK-74 without date, 5.45mm caliber firearm; 665 pieces of various caliber firearm cartridges, including 526 of 7.62mm caliber and 139 of 5.45mm caliber; 3 empty magazines for firearms; 1 explosive device KPM-3; 46 capsule detonators; 10 pieces of UZRRG grenade detonators; 1 piece of 043 PZ explosive device; 4 cable-explosive pipes; 17 ammonite explosives; 8 pieces of UZRRGG detonators; 1 piece of J-1 detonator; 5 pieces of J-1 grenades; 1 piece of F-1 type grenade; 1 piece of RGD-5; 1 piece of RG-42; and 1 bag containing gunpowder-like substance.
