Russians Frequently Visited Yerevan in Early 2023
In the first half of this year, Russians traveled the most to Yerevan from foreign cities, while within Russia, the most popular destination was Moscow. This is reported by RIA Novosti, citing analysts from the travel planning service 'OneTwoTrip', as reported by Sputnik.
"Yerevan has become the most sought-after foreign destination in the first half of the year. 8.8% of tickets purchased were for the capital of Armenia, while demand for this direction decreased by 1.3% over the past year," the analysts stated.
Russians have reduced their travels to Istanbul by 2.9%, but the Turkish city still ranked second with a market share of 7.6%. The top three list is completed by Baku with 5.9%. It is also noted that other sought-after destinations include Minsk, Dubai, Tbilisi, Tashkent, Bishkek, Osh, and Dushanbe.
