Inspection Results: Production Activities Suspended at Four Dairy Collection Points of 'Daughter Marianna' LLC
The State Service for Food Safety of Armenia conducted inspections at the dairy collection points owned by 'Daughter Marianna' LLC in Yerevan and Gegharkunik regions. The inspections revealed that four points located in Chambarak, Gegharkunik, Aragats, Aragatsotn, Gorhayk, Syunik, and Zuygaghbyur, Shirak, did not meet the sanitary and hygienic standards required by law.
Specifically, the design, structure, layout, and dimensions of the production facilities did not prevent the cross-contamination of food (nutritional) raw materials and products between contaminated and clean items. There was insufficient protection against the entry of animals, including rodents and insects, into the production buildings. Necessary technical servicing and ongoing repairs of technical equipment were not performed, and procedures for cleaning, washing, disinfecting, pest control, and rodent extermination were inadequately carried out.
The facilities lacked measures to protect against dirt accumulation, spillage of particles in the produced food, and mold formation. Floors, walls, and ceilings of the production buildings were not made of waterproof, washable, and disinfectable materials. There were no natural and mechanical ventilation systems, restrooms, or handwashing sinks provided in the production buildings. Personal and production clothing and shoes of staff, as well as materials and tools not in use during production, were improperly stored within the facilities.
In accordance with the directive from the head of the inspection body, the production activities of the dairy collection points owned by 'Daughter Marianna' LLC have been suspended, and deadlines have been set to rectify the identified violations and discrepancies.
