The Georgian Parliament has adopted in the first reading a package of bills against 'LGBT propaganda.' This information has been reported by RTVI.

It is noted that 78 deputies from the ruling 'Georgian Dream' party and the allied 'People's Power' faction voted in favor of the bill package titled 'In Defense of Family Values and Minorities.' Opposition party representatives did not participate in the voting, boycotting the meeting.

The legislative package includes 19 bills proposing amendments to various legislative acts of the country, as well as changes to the labor code. The amendments also include bans on gender-affirming surgeries and the adoption of children by same-sex couples.
