Photos: Roofs, Metal Sheets, and Trees Damaged by Winds in Armenia

On June 26, starting at 16:55, the National Crisis Management and regional crisis management centers received reports that winds had damaged roof coverings, metal sheets, and downed trees in various administrative districts of Yerevan, as well as in the Shirak, Tavush, Armavir, and Kotayk regions.

Emergency response teams from the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ regional and Yerevan fire and rescue departments, along with a rescue group from the Special Rescue Operations Center, were dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that the winds had caused damage to roof coverings, metal sheets, gas pipes, and had downed trees, resulting in damage to electrical lines, vehicles, and road blockages. Rescuers cordoned off the area and conducted work to dismantle and secure the metal sheets, as well as to cut and remove the fallen trees.
