Woman in Syunik Receives 1 Million Drams in Banknotes, Discovers 9 Counterfeit 10,000 Dram Bills

On June 24, an incident of hooliganism occurred in the Syunik region. Around 14:10, operational information was received at the Criminal Investigation Department of the Sisian division of the RA Police regarding a case involving 31-year-old Zhanna Kh., a resident of Syunik, who on May 13 had received a package of banknotes with a nominal value of 1 million drams as social assistance from the Sisian branch of "Unibank", handed over to her by 34-year-old bank employee Nare V.

According to Shamshyan.com, following the operational information, on June 23, at approximately 22:00, Zhanna Kh. opened the package and discovered that it contained 9 commemorative 10,000 dram banknotes. She later presented the 9 commemorative banknotes, the order receipt, and the package of banknotes sealed with the bank's stamp to the police.
