VIDEO: Sink, Dead Calf - What Specialists Found in Sevan's Sewer

Edita

The sewage collector system of Sevan city was malfunctioning, creating unsanitary conditions in the town. Built in the 1980s, the system had not been cleaned for years. The government’s press service prepared a report addressing the works carried out.

"We have pulled out everything from sinks to a dead calf, including large stones," said a specialist during an interview with a reporter.

In the low-lying streets of the city, sewage water was even filling the basements of residents. For the works, the government allocated 50 million drams. The efforts are underway over a stretch of about 3 kilometers. Although much of the work is still ahead, specialists say that the results are already visible.
