Security Staff to Ride Bikes with Pashinyan
Recently, "Hraparak" observed Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's head of security, Armen Gasparyan, along with several other officers from the Special Patrol Service (PPS), selecting bicycles at an upscale Italian Bianchi store. The PPS staff have been instructed to purchase bicycles with the intention of ensuring Pashinyan's safety by riding alongside him.
The bicycle initiative appears to serve a dual purpose: to create the impression that Pashinyan is unafraid to take to the streets and ride a bicycle in his own country. Alongside him are his security personnel, members of the Cycling Federation including its president, and several individuals from the ruling Civil Contract party working at lower levels. Sometimes, older individuals also appear in photographs, either going to their summer houses early in the morning for some errand or seeking to take pictures with Pashinyan.
