Peskov Responds to Question About Trump's Advisors' Plan
The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, told Reuters that Moscow needs to familiarize itself with the details of the plan proposed by former U.S. President Donald Trump's advisors regarding Ukraine in order to evaluate it.
The agency reported that Trump's advisors have presented a plan to urge Ukraine to enter into peace negotiations with Russia, with the condition that military support from the U.S. would cease if they do not comply.
“The value of any plan lies in considering the nuances and the real situation on the ground. We do not know what specific plan is being discussed or what it entails. We are open to negotiations, and to evaluate the plan, we need to be acquainted with it,” Peskov stated.
He also noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin has recently made peace proposals, which “have not been accepted by either the West or the Ukrainians themselves.”
