"Our Friends' and Enemies' Gazes are Directed Towards Us": What Blinken and Gallant Discussed
The Minister of Defense of Israel, Yoav Gallant, who arrived in the U.S., met with Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Washington. The American administration's efforts are focused on preventing war between Israel and the terrorist group Hezbollah.
"Blinken emphasized the necessity of preventing the escalation of the conflict and the importance of a diplomatic solution that would allow Lebanese and Israeli families to return home," the report on the meeting published by the State Department stated.
One of the goals of Gallant's visit was to reduce tensions in Israel-U.S. relations. "Our friends' and our enemies' gazes are directed towards us. We must quickly overcome our disagreements and stand shoulder to shoulder," the Israeli minister declared.
