Macron Says He Is Ready to Engage in Dialogue with Putin
The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has announced that he would continue dialogue with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. This was reported by TASS.
“I would continue the conversation with Vladimir Putin. No, we haven’t been in touch in recent months, but I do not rule out the possibility of a conversation on one topic or another,” Macron said in the Generation Do It Yourself podcast.
Macron emphasized his belief in the power of dialogue. “I’m completely sincere when I say it’s always important to keep the dialogue going,” he stated, adding that he would discuss, in particular, the topic of nuclear power plants with the Russian president, without specifying what he meant.
Putin had previously stated that Moscow is ready to cooperate with Paris if the French side has such a desire.
