According to Us, It Is Necessary to Sit at the Negotiation Table: Turkey's Foreign Minister

Turkey expects the creation of a political atmosphere for negotiations regarding Ukraine, with the conflict needing to be resolved as soon as possible, stated Turkey's Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

“We expect the political atmosphere for the start of negotiations on the Ukraine issue to be established sooner. Some Western countries, particularly the United States, are waiting for the electoral process to conclude. However, in our opinion, it is necessary to cease the conflict soon and sit down at the negotiation table for a ceasefire. This position was emphasized by us at the Swiss summit,” Fidan stated during a joint press conference with his Czech counterpart in Ankara.

According to him, the conflict carries risks of deepening a “geopolitical fracture” and the formation of separate blocks.
