Russian Defense Ministry Reports Destruction of 33 Drones Over Regions of Russia

On the night of June 23, air defense forces intercepted and destroyed 33 drones over various regions of Russia. This information was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

In the Bryansk region, 28 UAVs were shot down (Governor Alexander Bogomaz had previously reported repelling an attack by 30 drones), while two were destroyed over Smolensk and Lipetsk, and one over Tula. According to Bogomaz, the drones attempted to attack the Bryansk, Surazh, and Vygonich regions, as well as several other localities, but there were no casualties.

In the Smolensk region, air defense systems targeted areas around Smolensk and Yartsevo, with no reported injuries or damage due to falling debris.

One of the largest drone attacks occurred on the night of June 21. During that incident, the Ministry of Defense reported the destruction of 120 drones. The majority of these UAVs were intercepted over Crimea, the Black Sea, and the Krasnodar region, officials stated.

In Kuban, the areas of Temryuk, Yeisk, and Seversk were attacked. According to regional authorities, four individuals were injured as a result of debris falling, including two employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations. One worker at a boiler house in Krasnodar was killed. Damage was reported to the building of the "Yuzhny" bus station and the boiler house in Krasnodar.
